The Father's Work: Letting God Move Through You

In a time where many believers are passively waiting for God to move, the message of The Father's Work is a sharp and necessary reminder: God desires to move—but through us. His works are not meant to hover abstractly in heaven. They are meant to manifest in the earth, in and through the lives of those who believe.

Jesus himself said, “The Father who dwells in me does the works” (John 14:10). If Christ is in us and we are in Him, that means the Father now desires to do those same works—through us. The supernatural, the miraculous, and the everyday evidence of God's presence are not reserved for the elite few. They are the inheritance of every believer. This is not just a lofty ideal. It is the very pattern of heaven revealed in Scripture: believe, abide, act.

Good Works Reveal the Father

Matthew 5:16 makes it clear: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Here, works are more than acts of kindness—they are acts of divine revelation. They are evidence that God is present and active. Whether that’s in your workplace or in ministry, your work becomes a canvas on which God paints His presence.

Jesus’ miracles were not just supernatural fireworks. They were signs. Proof. They authenticated His identity and purpose. He didn't ask people to blindly believe. He pointed to the works: “Believe me for the sake of the works themselves” (John 14:11).

The Issue Isn't God's Power—It's Our Surrender

Ephesians 3:20 reveals a sobering truth: God can do “exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think”—but only according to the power that works in us. In other words, God's power is not lacking. Our cooperation is. The more we surrender, the more He moves. It's not about begging God to come down. It's about understanding He already abides within, waiting to be allowed through.

Signs Follow Belief, Not Titles

Mark 16 is a dismantling of modern hierarchy: “These signs will follow those who believe...” Not pastors. Not apostles. Believers. If you claim to be a child of God, then your life should show it—not just in morality, but in power. If the works of Christ are absent from the Church, it's not because God has stopped working. It's because we've stopped believing that He works through us.

The message is simple but costly: responsibility shifts to the believer. To work the works of God is not to try harder in human strength. It is to believe more deeply, surrender more fully, and obey more boldly.

Let the Works Speak

In John 10:25, Jesus says, “The works that I do in My Father’s name, they bear witness of Me.” That same witness is what the Church is called to carry. Whether it's healing, provision, or deliverance—these are not optional extras for spiritual overachievers. They are the expected fruit of abiding in Christ.

If the Father is not moving in our lives, the question isn't whether He is willing. The question is whether we are allowing Him to.

This is only the beginning of the journey into the Father's works. But the first step is always the same: believe—and let Him work through you.
