Building the Kingdom from Grace: Financial Restoration & Honor

When we increase in the Lord, we first of all increase in grace. That is our commodity in this hour—grace is our treasure. The by-product of grace is an increase in finances and business opportunities. In other words, if you’re going to expand God’s kingdom, finances are essential. If you ignore this, you’re not living in the reality of God’s kingdom, you’re being hyper-spiritual without substance.

Here at KGM we are all about reaching, reforming & restoring. But restoration comes at a cost—literally. It isn’t like the world’s capitalism that demands you work solely for profit. In the kingdom, there is a place where we invest into the life of an individual. Consider those who cannot simply study on their own, there must be a pool of capital to send them to school, to ensure they succeed. It’s a model where discipline and productivity are paramount—not laziness, but a strict yet nurturing investment that lifts people up. Whether poor or rich, everyone has a place when restoration is at hand. Like the prodigal son who is welcomed back with a secret covenantal ring and a peculiar anointing of the mantle, restoration in God’s economy requires a cost. It costs money to bring about transformation, because in our kingdom, our commodity is not dollars—it’s grace. Yet, grace influences capital, drawing gold and silver toward the abundant favor of God.

As the Apostle Paul declares in 2 Corinthians 9:8,

And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work.” Take the word “abundance” and consider its meaning: more than enough, extraordinary, above the ordinary. This is not a poverty mentality, it’s a reflection of grace at work. But you can’t buy grace—it’s not a commodity for sale. Isaiah 55 reminds us, those who hunger and thirst are invited to come, because our kingdom is built on the free-flowing, unmerited favor of God.

Our system comes from the kingdom of heaven, and it operates from grace. Grace is activated through a father-son relationship; it is downloaded and sustained by the spoken word. Consider how, in the perfect state, Adam walked in the cool of the day with the Lord—“cool” here means Ruach (the breath of God). God breathed wisdom into Adam, and through His word, He shaped matter. Every word spoken over us carries grace, locking into our hearts a divine substance that transforms spirit into material reality. Grace speaks, and in its speaking, it creates. This is how our kingdom operates: by faith through grace. It is the same mechanism by which we are born again. Capital and physical resources work around us only because grace influences hearts and systems.

In practical terms, we honor the Lord with our first fruits and tithes. Yet, the area where many fall short is our offerings—the free-will giving that truly reveals the state of our heart. You give your first fruit and tithe out of reverence and fear of the Lord, because it belongs to Him. But your offering, given voluntarily and cheerfully, is the revelation of who you are. As Malachi 3 proclaims, when we give our first fruits, tithes, and offerings unto the Lord, He will open the windows of heaven and keep the canker worm (locust) away—the very thing that eats away at our finances.

A vital doctrine in our stewardship is to honor our spiritual father with our first offering. On our tithe, we set aside a portion that goes first to the spiritual leader—a representative of the Lord. We start small, giving what we have, and as we witness God’s faithfulness, we increase our offerings. This act is not merely a transaction; it is an expression of our heart’s attitude. When we ask for seed—like the bread that sustains business and life—we don’t consume it for ourselves; we give it back, trusting that God, in His divine enablement, will increase our capacity.

As 2 Corinthians 9:6 teaches,

He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” This is a principle that flows from the heart. Where grace resides—in our hearts—there too, flows every blessing. Ephesians 1:3 reminds us, “...Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.” All blessings are found in heavenly places, where our faith and grace coalesce to shape our earthly reality.

When God spoke things into existence, He did not create out of nothing. He spoke from Himself; His word, filled with grace, shaped the very material of our world. Every word He prophesied over you, every word spoken in private, infused your heart with grace. And that grace transforms, shaping the material realm around you.

Grace speaks—and as it speaks, it creates. That is how our kingdom operates: by faith through grace. This divine enablement is the unmerited favor of God. Today, we understand it as the divine power that not only brings spiritual renewal but also influences our financial and material lives.

When we honor the Lord with our finances—through our first fruits, tithes, and offerings—we also honor our spiritual father. In doing so, we not only recognize God’s ownership of our resources, but we express gratitude and thanksgiving. This honor, drawn from our faithful stewardship, makes us whole; it restores what was lost and brings back the fullness of life. Consider the example of the ten lepers in Luke 17:12–19 when healed, only one returned to give thanks, exemplifying that true honor is born of a grateful heart. Our offerings, given from a heart filled with grace, demonstrate who we are. God promises in Joel 2:25 to restore what has been lost—He will keep at bay the forces that erode our resources. As we honor our spiritual father by giving our offerings (even setting aside a portion on our tithe for him), we cultivate honor. This honor, drawn from faithful stewardship, produces unmerited favor—an advantage that restores us completely, making us whole and testifying of our transformation.

In the end, the Lord is not looking for perfection. He is looking for honor and obedience—actions that reflect a heart transformed by grace. As you continue to sow generously and honor your spiritual leaders, remember that your offerings are the key that unlocks the abundance of God’s grace. And in that abundance, you will find not just financial restoration but the full measure of honor that only God can bestow.
